Baseball hits the road for a series at Elon

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – After having its midweek game rained out, the UNC Asheville baseball team will be back in action this weekend with a three-game series at Elon. The Bulldogs and Phoenix will play a single game on Friday at 5 p.m. before playing a doubleheader on Saturday starting at Noon.

Burnett joins fellow Bulldogs Blake Little (Relief Pitcher), Justin Honeycutt (Relief Pitcher) and Michael Groves (Player) as players that have earned a weekly honor from the Big South in 2022.
Top 10 in ERA – As this weekend's play begins, Honeycutt ranks ninth in the nation and first in the Big South in ERA. Honeycutt, who has a 1.23 ERA so far in 2022, has trimmed five full runs off his ERA from his freshman campaign (6.23) so far as a sophomore.
