Blake Little named the Big South’s Relief Pitcher of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Big South Conference announced Monday that UNC Asheville's Blake Little was named the League's Relief Pitcher of the Week for games played between March 7-13. It marks the first weekly honor that Little has received during his time as a Bulldog and the first for the team this season.
Little played a crucial role in Asheville's 5-2 win over High Point last Tuesday. The Matthews, N.C. native, threw two perfect innings against the Panthers. For this effort, Little was the winning pitcher in Asheville's first victory against High Point since 2017.
Little is the second Bulldog to ever earn the conference's Relief Pitcher of the Week honor, with the other being Dominic Freeberger (April 5, 2021) last season.
Little and the rest of the Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday when they host Lafayette at Greenwood Field. The first pitch between the Bulldogs is set for 4 p.m. on ESPN+.
