Solid left-handed hitter...gap hitter who is often used as a pinch hitter late in games...will see action as left handed DH against right handed pitching...red-shirted last season after an injury in final weekend of 2006 season.
2007: Red-shirted
2006: Started 36 games at first base for the Bulldogs before getting hit and breaking a bone in his hand in the game at Coastal Carolina on May 19...he did not play in the Big South Tournament or the Clemson Regional...went 3-for-6 with two doubles, a home run, and six RBI in 14-2 victory at Duke on May 16...went 3-for-5 with two doubles a home run and five RBI at East Tennessee State (April 11)...also had a home run and a double driving in four runs vs. Winthrop on April 15...went 3-for-5 with four RBI against Hartford on March 18.
2005: Started 13 of 29 games while hitting three home runs and driving in 10 runs...batted .255 with seven extra base hits...went 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double, and four RBI in last two games against Birmingham-Southern...went 2-for-3 with a RBI in victory over Tennessee...hit a two-run home run against High Point on Apr. 4.
Before UNC Asheville: Played for coach Kevin Williamson at Jesuit College Prep...had a sensational senior year as he hit .405 with 12 home runs, 40 RBI and eight doubles...named team offensive MVP as a senior...defensive MVP junior year and team MVP as a sophomore.
