Overview: Senior right-handed pitcher who will compete for playing time in 2011...has been used mainly as a reliever during his career...works hard and can be used in a variety of roles...has improved with each season.
2010: Appered in a career-high 15 games and 26.2 innings...earned a start at Western Carolina (3-16)...threw a scoreless inning at Furman (4-21)...struck out 15 hitters...pitched four innings at Georgia State (3-9).
2009: Pitched in 11 games and earned a start late in the season vs. Presbyterian (5-15)...had solid outing at VMI (3-21) with 1.1 innings of scoreless relief with one strikeout...tossed 1.2 innings of scoreless relief at Tennessee (3-25) as he retired all five hitters he faced.
2008: Made 16 appearances, mostly in relief and had a 7.52 ERA...struck out 12 in 20.1 innings of work...pitched well late in the year and had five straight appearances where he did not allow a run...made his debut at Gardner-Webb (2-26) and struck out five in 5.2 innings of work...held Florida State scoreless in inning of work (3-4)...also held Hartford scoreless twice (3-21 & 22).
Before UNC Asheville: Posted a 6-2 record with a 1.08 ERA as a senior after going 4-2 with a 2.03 ERA as a junior...threw a two-hitter in the second round of the state playoffs...earned first team All-Conference honors as both a junior and a senior in Cape Fear Valley AAA...Male Athlete of the Year for Union Pines HS...also lettered in basketball and soccer.
