Overview: Junior College product who did a great job for the Bulldogs in 2011...was a fixture in the outfield for UNC Asheville and played all three spots during the season...played at Guilford Tech in Greensboro...played high school ball at Ledford HS in Thomasville.
2011: Led Bulldogs with five home runs and drove in 22 runs...finished the year hitting .299 with 11 doubles and three triples...scored 24 runs...also stole seven bases...had great game at national power UNC Chapel Hill (5-11) as he slugged two solo home runs...ended the season strong with five-game hitting streak and hits in nine of last 10 games...went 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a triple in opening day win over Murray State (2-18)...had 3-for-5 effort with three RBI, home run and triple at Gardner-Webb (3-19)...posted three hits and two doubles vs. Radford (4-23).
Before UNC Asheville: Hit .347 and scored team-leading 38 runs with six home runs and eight doubles...senior year at Ledford hit .565 with 12 home runs and 45 RBI...earned All-State, All-Region, All-County and All-Conference honors...was also selected as Conference Player of the Year...helped lead Ledford to third round of the state playoffs...also lettered in basketball and football.
