Before UNC Asheville: Enjoyed a superb prep career at Holly Springs that was interrupted by injuries prior to his senior season...missed most of his senior year but returned in time to play at end of the year and helped lead Holly Springs to 4-A state championship...in two-game sweep of Roberson, he went 4-for-5 with three singles and two RBI...was school's lead-off hitter starting as a freshman...sophomore year hit .487 and set school record for stolen bases and triple...earned All-Conference honors and Honorable Mention All-State as a junior.
