Jax Ledford's Top Performances
2021-22 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Ledford competed in seven meets for Asheville mainly in the distance events...Notched a podium finish (3rd) and a personal-best time (4:24.12) at the Marshall Invitational in mid-February...Finished 11th in the same event at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships with a time of 4:30.30...Ledford set new personal-best times in the 1500-meter run (4:08.77) and 5000-meter run (15:22.54) at the Catamount Classic and VertKlasse Meeting, respectively, during the outdoor campaign.Â
2020-21 Season (Freshman) - In his first season in Asheville, Ledford appeared in four track meets for the Bulldogs...Made his collegiate track & field debut on March 13 at the Winthrop Spring Invitational...Competed in the 800m, 1500m, and 3000m runs as a freshman...His top finish came in his very first meet placing fourth in the 3000m run with a time of 9:20.43...Set personal-best times in both the 800m (2:00.72) and 1500m (4:12.95) runs at the Catamount Classic in mid-April...Ran for the Bulldogs in the 800m at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...At his first conference meet, Ledford placed 14th with a time of 2:02.88.
Prior to UNC Asheville - Was a member of two state championship teams...A two-time All-State pick and a four-time All-Conference selection.
