2021-22 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Rector appeared in 12 meets for Asheville...Logged five podium finishes during his sophomore campaign, including three event victories...Opened the season by placing fifth in the triple jump (11.68m) at the Appalachian Open Indoor Meet...Won the high jump at the Keydet Invitational in late January with a mark of 1.75-meters...Won both the high (1.80-meters) and triple jump (11.54-meters) events at the Marshall Invitational in mid-February...Took part in the heptathlon at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships where he placed seventh...Rector's top finish in the heptathlon was third in the high jump with a leap of 1.78-meters...During the outdoor season, Rector placed third among the high jump participants at the Catamount Classic with a mark of 1.85-meters, which set a new personal-best...Appeared at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships and placed 11th in the high jump with a leap of 1.81-meters.Â
2020-21 Season (Freshman) - Rector appeared in six meets and multiple events during his freshman season with the Bulldogs in 2020-21...Rector began his collegiate career at the Winthrop Opener on February 27 where he took part in the high jump and javelin events...As the season progressed, Rector began competing in some track events for Asheville as well...He set a new personal-best time in the 200-meter dash at the Montreat Invitational in late March clocking in at 24.12...One highlight for Rector came at the Catamount Classic in mid-April where he placed fifth in the high jump with a leap of 1.85-meters...Rector's mark of 1.85m ranks fifth all-time in program history during the outdoor season...Rector closed out his freshman season by competing at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...At the Championships, Rector competed in the high jump, triple jump and decathlon...He finished the decathlon with 5,167 points, which ranked fifth amongst the field of competitors...Furthermore, Rector's point total ranks as the fourth most by a Bulldog in program history.
