2024 Season (Fifth Year Senior) - Competed in all 11 meets between indoor and outdoor season...Recorded a PR in the 3000m at the Carolina Challenge with a time of 8:42.58, earning an 11th place finish...Helped the DMR team win at the Doc Hale VT Meet with a time of 10:13.54...At the Big South Indoor Championships, Haines helped the DMR team earn bronze (10:18.16)...Haines went on to earn bronze in the 800m with a time of 1:54.53...Transitioning to outdoor season, Haines was a part of the 4x800 team that earned third at the Charlotte 49er Classic (7:56.41)...At the Montreat College Open he earned a third place finish in the 800m (1:55.08)...Grabed two third-place finishes at the UNC Asheville Bulldog Invite (1500m-3:53.07 & 4x400 relay- 3:29.56)...Set a PR in the 800m at the Georgia Tech Invitational with a time of 1:53.34...Earned a fourth place finish and set a PR in the 1500m at the Big South Outdoor Championships...Haines ran a time of 3:49.99- a new program record in the men's outdoor 1500m.Â
2022-23 Season (Senior) - As a senior, Haines appeared in 11 meets...Began his season by winning the 800-meter run with a time of 1:58.94...Was also the runner-up in the mile run (4:25.47) at the same meet...Also took the top spot in the mile run at the Gamecock Opener in mid-January and then again at the Samford Open in mid-February...Garnered All-Big South Third Team honors at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 800-meter run (1:54.86)...Picked up a podium finish at the Montreat Open in the 800-meter run...Set a new personal-best time in the 800-meter run (1:53.54) at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...Placed fifth in the 800m overall and also finished fifth in the 1500-meter run (4:17.37).Â
2021-22 Season (Junior) - Haines saw action in nine meets during the 2021-22 track & field season...He made his season debut at the Buccaneer Indoor Track & Field Invitational in early February...In his three indoor meets, Haines finished in the top 10 in every event he competed in...In that group came at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships where he helped the distance medley relay team earn All-Big South Second Team honors with a time of 10:07.77...In the outdoor season, Haines placed seventh in the 1500-meter run with a time of 4:05.13...Also finished eighth in the 800-meter run at the Catamount Classic in mid-April clocking in at 1:53.75...Appeared at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships for Asheville where he took part in the 800-meter run and the javelin throw...Haines finished 15th (1:55.31) in the 800-meter, while placing 12th in the field in the javelin throw (41.64-meters).Â
2020-21 Season (Sophomore) - Following the conclusion of the cross country season, Haines appeared in five meets for Asheville...Logged the top time in the 1000-meter run at the Winthrop Spring Invitational with a time of 2:31.50...Picked up a podium finish at the Catamount Classic in the 1500-meter run (3rd - 3:59.37) and as a member of Asheville's 4x800-meter relay team (2nd - 7:46.86) at the Montreat Invitational...Finished his sophomore campaign at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...There, Haines logged new personal-best times in the 800-meter (8th - 1:53.69) and 1500-meter (8th - 3:57.35) runs.Â
2019-20 Season (Freshman) - Haines competed in six meets as a freshman in 2019-20...He made his collegiate debut on Appalachian Open Indoor Meet in early December...Was a key part in relay team for the Bulldogs and logged three top four finishes...Won the DMR at the Thundering Herd Invitational in mid-March and placed second in the same event at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships to close out the season.
