2021-22 Season (Senior) - As a senior, Evans competed in eight meets for Asheville...Began the year by finishing as the runner-up in the mile run (5:23.51) at the Appalachian Open Indoor, which was also a personal-best time in that event...Also posted top-10 finishes in the 800-meter run at the Catamount Classic (8th - 2:19.29) and Montreat Invitational (9th - 2:25.37)...Closed out the season by running in the 800-meter run at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships where she finished 11th with a time of 2:19.01.Â
2020-21 Season (Junior) - In her third season as a Bulldog, Evans competed in five meets...She won the 1000-meter run at the Winthrop Spring Invitational in mid-March with a time of 3:02.30...Logged two more podium finishes in the regular season at the Catamount Classic (800m - 2nd - 2:15.78) and Montreat Invitational (1500m - 2nd - 4:54.18)...Closed out the 2021 track & field season by competing in her second Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...At the Championships, Evans competed in both the 800-meter and 1500-meter runs...She set new personal-best times in each event and placed fourth and seventh, respectively.Â
2019-20 Season (Sophomore) - During her sophomore campaign, Evans was limited to six meets due to the CoVID-19 pandemic...She picked up her first collegiate event victory at the Appalachian Open Indoor Meet in early December by taking the top spot in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:28.87...Evans closed out her sophomore campaign with a stellar outing at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championship...She logged a trio of podium finishes in the two-day meet, including a third-place nod in the 800-meter run (2:16.91)...She also aided the Bulldog 4x400m relay and Distance Medley Relay teams place among the top three in the Big South...The time of 3:50.80 in the 4x400m relay set a new indoor program record, while the DMR time ranks third on the program's all-time indoor list.Â
2018-19 Season (Freshman) - As a freshman, Evans appeared in 11 meets...She made her debut as a Bulldog at the Appalachian Open Indoor Track Meet in late November/early December...At her first collegiate meet, Evans competed in the 800-meter run where she placed 3rd with a time of 2:27.55...Also was a member of the Bulldog 4x300-meter relay team that finished 2nd with a time of 2:51.65...Set a new personal-best time in the 1000-meter at the Liberty Kickoff meet in late January with a time of 3:09.32...Participated in her first Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships in mid-February...A member of both the 4x400m relay (7th - 4:04.98) and Distance Medley Relay (5th - 12:50.39) teams for Asheville...Finished 9th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:21.34...During the outdoor season, Evans took part in six meets including the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...There Evans finished 12th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:19.18...Helped Asheville's 4x400m relay team finish 8th with a time of 4:04.36.Â
Before UNC Asheville: Was part of state championship-winning 4x800 relay team ... Two-time team captain for track and field and also served one year as captain of cross country team ... Three-time MVP for track and field and cross country ... Was named the North Shore Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
