2020-21 Season (Junior) - Appleton competed in four meets for the Bulldogs during the 2020-21 track & field season that was limited to the outdoor season...Finished first or second in all three races that she competed in through the first three meets...Finished first in the 5000-meter run at hte Montreat Invitational in late March...Set a new personal-best time in the 3000-meter run at the Winthrop Spring Invitational clocking in at 10:30.13...Closed the season at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships where she logged a pair of top 10 finishes in the 5000-meter run (7th - 17:05.96) and 10000-meter run (5th - 37:17.82)...Her time in the 5000-meter, set a new outdoor school record for the event...Following the season, Appleton was honored for her work as a student as she was named to the 2021 Big South All-Academic Team in women's track & field.
2019-20 Season (Sophomore) - As a sophomore, Appleton competed in six meets before the track & field stopped due to the CoVID-19 pandemic...She opened the season by earning her first collegiate event victory by notching the fastest time in the 3000-meter run at the Appalachian Open Indoor Meet with a time 11:17.69...Also helped the Bulldog relay teams placed in the top four at the ETSU Track & Field Invitational and the VMI Indoor Classic...Appleton closed her sophomore season at the Big South Indoor Championships where she took part in the 3000-meter and 5000-meter runs...In those events, Appleton placed 17th in the 3000-meter (10:48.33) and 11th in the 5000-meter (18:43.05).
2018-19 Season (Freshman) - In her first season as a member of the track & field program, Appleton competed in eight meets for the Bulldogs...She made her Bulldog debut on January 25-26 at the Liberty Kickoff meet...There Appleton ran in the mile where she logged a time of 5:33.30, which placed her 23rd in the field...Made an appearance for Asheville at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships where she competed in the 3000-meter and 5000-meter runs...In those two respective events, Appleton finished 13th (10:58.76) and 11th (19:01.58)...Appleton also took part in several meets during the outdoor season...She logged a personal-best time in the 1500-meter run clocking in at 5:05.51...Capped her freshman season by competing in the 10000-meter run at the Big South Outdoor Championships where she finsiehd 17th with a time of 43:28.08.
Before UNC Asheville: Earned eight letters in cross country and track and field ... Was part of Outdoor Track and Field district championship teams in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 ... Also part of 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 cross country district championship teams ... Was named All-State in cross country ... She won the Keith Jones Award and was also selected as an Outstanding Track and Field Athlete in her district ... Appleton was also named All-Academic in women's soccer.
