2020-21 Season (Freshman) - As a freshman, Tyson competed in all six meets for UNC Asheville during the 2020-21 academic year...He made his collegiate debut at the Winthrop Opener on February 27 where he competed in the 100-meter dash, long jump, and triple jump...Logged personal-best marks in both the 100-meter dash and high jump at the Winthrop Spring Invitational in mid-March...Arguably Tyson's top performance as a freshman came at the Catamount Classic where he placed second in the long jump with a leap of 6.93-meters...This mark ranks just .01 meters behind the program's outdoor record of 6.94-meters held by Victor Mathuthu...Tyson wrapped up his freshman campaign at the Big South Outdoor Track & Championships...Tyson would place eighth in the long jump with a mark of 6.60-meters in the league's showcase event.
