Awards & Honors

2025-26 - Caroline Patterson cemented herself as the most accomplished golfer in UNC Asheville women's golf history during her senior campaign...She became the first Bulldog to earn medalist honors at the Big South Conference Championship, capturing the individual title with a 215 (-1)...Patterson also became the first player in program history to compete in the NCAA Tournament, tying for 25th at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional with a three-round score of 217 (+7)...She earned First Team All-Big South and All-Championship Team honors while being named Big South Women's Golfer of the Week four times throughout the season...Patterson recorded eight top-10 finishes in 13 stroke-play events, including individual victories at the Low Country Intercollegiate and the Big South Championship, while adding a third-place finish at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge and UNCW River Landing Classic...She capped her historic career by winning both of her match play matches at the Big South Championship, before heading to NCAA Regional play...At the ASHPYs she was named Bulldog of the Year...Finished the season ranked No. 228 in the nation.

2024-25 - Patterson made an immediate impact in her first season as a Bulldog...She was named Big South Women's Golf Newcomer of the Year and earned a spot on the All-Conference First Team...She finished fifth in the Big South Championship with a three-round score of 226 to earn a spot on the All-Championship Team...She ranked second in the conference with a 73.06 stroke average, had eight Top 10 finishes, and was the Medalist at The Velvet Classic with a 1-over 217...At the Mercer Invitational, Patterson shot two rounds under par, finishing 3-under for the three-round tournament...A three-time Big South Golfer of the Week honoree in 2024-25, Patterson is ranked No. 315 in the nation.

Prior to Asheville - Patterson played in 13 tournaments, 39 rounds and averaged a 74.03 at Tennessee...Four top-25 finishes during her freshman campaign, and her lowest round was a 67 that she shot in the second round of the Clemson Invitational in the spring of 2023...In the 2023 NCAA Regionals, Patterson posted a 54-hole score of +7 and finished tied for 43rd...Earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors in March of 2023...Prior to college, Patterson qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur in 2022, finished third at the Florida Girl's Junior Championship in 2021 and placed fifth at the AJGA Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2021.
