BIG SOUTH RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Caroline Patterson has been named the Big South Women's Golfer of the Week for the second time this season following her performance at the Mercer Invitational (Oct. 28-29). The conference office made the announcement on Thursday (Oct. 31).

Patterson tied for fifth at the Mercer Invitational (par 72, 6,041 yards) with a 3-under 213 (71-75-67) for her third Top 10 finish of the fall season.  Her 5-under par score in the final round featured eight birdies and is the lowest under-par round in school history, while her 54-hole under-par finish marked the first in program annals.  Patterson led the 70-player field in both total birdies with 15 and par-5 scoring at 7-under (4.50 average).

The Bulldogs concluded the fall portion of their season this week and will be back in action on February 17-18 at the Rivertowne Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern.
