2020 Season (Senior): In 2020, Serricchio appeared in 10 games...Split his time as a position player and a pitcher...As a position player, Serricchio hit .364 in 11 at-bats with two runs scored, one run driven in and one stolen base...On the mound, Serricchio appeared in six games all in relief...Went 0-2 with a 6.35 ERA in 5.2 innings pitched...Three of his four hits on the season came on March 8 against Coppin State...Struck out a season-high two batters at Samford on February 15.Â
2019 Season (Junior): Appeared in 20 games … Made two starts … Totaled three hits in 23 at-bats … Picked up one RBI and touched home once … In his first start of the season on March 17 versus USC Upstate, Serricchio totaled one hit, one RBI and one run scored … Also made three appearances on the mound … On May 9 versus Radford, he struck out four batters while surrendering only three hits in two innings of work … Ended the season by throwing one inning at Gardner-Webb on March 17 and retiring the side in order on only seven pitches.
2018 Season (Sophomore): Appeared in 47 games, including 39 starts ... Saw most of his playing time as the designated hitter but would transition to play first base often ... Finished his sophomore year hitting .226 ... Collected 30 total hits, including six doubles and a home run ... Tallied seven multi-hit games ... Season was highlighted by a three-hit performance versus Presbyterian on April 8 ... Hit his lone home run of the year against Manhattan ... He finished the non-conference game against the Jaspers with two hits and a pair of RBIs ... In Big South games, Serricchio hit .266 with 21 total hits ... He drove in 17 RBIs and touched home 14 times ... Posted a strong .316 slugging percentage in league contests.
2017 Season (Freshman): Helped guide UNC Asheville back to the Big South Conference Baseball Championship for the first time since 2012 as the Bulldogs advanced to the semifinal round for the first time since 2007 … Helped the Bulldogs lead the conference with 33 runners caught stealing … Helped UNC Asheville finish third in the league with 47 double plays turned … Made 27 starts on the year, including 15 starts split between catcher and designated hitter … Batted .246 with 15 hits, five doubles, two home runs, nine runs scored and nine runs batted in … Led the team with a .288 batting average in just games started … Had five multi-hit games on the year … Scored multiple runs in two games … Had two multi-RBI games … At home against Tennessee Tech (3/21), went 2-for-4 with five runs batted in, two runs scored and a home run as the Bulldogs’ designated hitter … Went 2-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and two doubles in the series finale against Longwood (5/14) … Had a four-game hitting streak from May 12 to May 16 … Recorded a season-high 10 putouts at home against Appalachian State (5/2) … Made his collegiate debut at USC Upstate (2/22).
