Honors & Awards
2022-23 Season (Junior) - Wilkes competed in nine meets during his first season as a Bulldog in 2022-23...Made his Bulldog debut in early December in a meet in Boone...There he finished as a runner-up in the triple jump with a mark of 14.70-meters...Won the triple jump at the Gamecock Opener in mid-January with a leap of 14.38-meters...Garnered All-Big South Second Team honors at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships where he placed second in the triple jump checking in at 14.58-meters...Also finished fourth in the high jump (1.96-meters) at the Conference's Indoor meet...Closed out his junior campaign at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...At the Outdoor Championships, Wilkes finished fourth in the triple jump (14.26m), fifth in the high jump (2.01m), and 14th in the long jump (6.34m).Â
Prior to UNC Asheville - Transfers to the Bulldogs after competing at William Peace University...Was named the Field Athlete of the Meet at the USA South Conference Championships...Was also honored by being named the Field Athlete of the Week on April 18...In 2022, Wilkes was also a champion in the triple and high jumps.
