2022-23 Season (Freshman) - In her first season as a Bulldog, Simmes appeared in 10 meets...She made her Bulldog debut at the John Weaver Invitational in early December where she landed a podium finish in the 800m run with a time of 2:23.31...Helped Asheville's Distance Medley Relay team place fourth at the VMI Winter Classic with a time of 13:13.79...Appeared for Asheville at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships...Individually, Simmes placed 10th in the 800m run at the Indoor Championships with a time of 2:20.44...Finished fifth in the 800m run at the Montreat Open (2:18.88)...Closed out her freshman season at the Big South Outdoor Track & Field Championships...Finished ninth in the 800m run (2:21.16) and helped the 4x400m relay team place fifth (3:54.31).Â
