Overview: Junior right-handed pitcher who gets better with each season...should be a key performer for the Bulldogs in 2010...one of four players from California on roster.
2009: Led team in games started with 13...went 2-10 on the season...picked up first win of the season with impressive performance vs. Central Michigan (2-28) as he pitched six scoreless innings with eight strikeouts and scattering four hits...also picked up win in league victory at Charleston Southern (3-7) with seven innings pitched...just missed getting a win at Florida State (4-22) with two scoreless innings pitched...led team in strikeouts with 51 and was second in innings pitched with 73.0.
2008: Made 20 appearances and seven starts...top game was near upset of Florida State (3-5)...made his second career start against the Seminoles and blanked them on five hits over 6.2 innings of work...was ahead of FSU 5-0 before Seminoles rallied for the win...went 1-4 and earned his first collegiate victory against MEAC power North Carolina A&T (4-23) with 2.2 innings of work...struck out 29 hitters during the year...had scoreless inning of work in wins at Wofford (4-15), Furman (4-16) and home to Gardner-Webb (4-22).
Before UNC Asheville: Three time Pitcher-of-the-Year, leading Grossmont HS to three CIF Championships...All-East County first team and All-CIF section first team...over three seasons at Grossmont had a 79-23 overall record.
