Bulldogs Enter Women’s Golf Conference Championship as No. 2 Seed

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville women's golf team is gearing up for the 2025 Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship, and the Bulldogs will enter the championship tournament as the No. 2 seed.
The Big South Conference released the seedings for the Championship on Thursday (April 10). The Bulldogs are ranked No. 156 in the nation by Clippd, their highest ranking in program history.
CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION
The Big South Women's Golf Championship will be held at the Ocean Creek Golf Course as part of the Fripp Island Golf and Beach Resort for the second consecutive year and will utilize a par 72, 6,032-yard layout to determine this year's champion. The 2025 Big South Women's Golf Championship begins Sunday, April 13, with a morning practice round followed by the first round of competition in the afternoon. A three-day, 54-hole stroke play event will be held April 13-15, followed by Match Play Semifinal & Final rounds on Wednesday, April 16, featuring the top four team finishers from stroke play. Championship action can be followed online via Leaderboard King's Live Scoring platform. The 2025 champion from Match Play will receive the Big South's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. Meanwhile, the Big South Conference will present its 2025 All-Conference Team, All-Freshman Team, All-Academic Team, All-Championship Team, and the annual award winners on Tuesday, April 1,5 following the 54-hole stroke event at the post-Championship awards ceremony. The team and runner-up trophies will be presented at the conclusion of Wednesday's Match Play competition.
LAST TIME OUT
The Bulldogs last competed in the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge and finished the tournament in sixth place out of 16 other schools. Both Caroline Patterson and Beryl Giletti tied for 12th place, and Morgan Guepet finished tied for 21st. Guepet's efforts earned her Big South Freshman of the Week for the fourth time this season.
