Bulldogs Advance to Match Play Semifinals Following Fourth Place Finish in Stroke Play at Big South Championship

FRIPP ISLAND, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team finished stroke play of the 2025 Big South Conference Women's Golf Championship in fourth place on Tuesday (April 15) and will advance to the Match Play Semifinals for the second time in program history.
The Bulldogs enter match play as the No. 4 seed and will face No. 1 Charleston Southern beginning at 8 a.m. on Wednesday (April 16).
STROKE PLAY RECAP
Asheville entered the final round of stroke play at No. 4 in league standings and held on to its fourth-place seeding for the entire third round as Asheville shot a 309 to finish with an overall stroke play score of 920 (303-308-39).

INDIVIDUAL RECAP
Caroline Patterson and Beryl Giletti each shot a 75 to lead Asheville in the final round of stroke play. Patterson finished in fifth place, earning a spot on the All-Championshp team, with rounds of 73-78-75 (+10). Giletti finished tied for sixth with rounds of 75-77-75 (+11).
Claudia Salvador shot a 76 and improved seven spots from the end of the second round to finish in 18th. Salvador finished stroke play with rounds of 79-79-76 (+18). Ally Kerr finished in 25th with rounds of 78-74-86 (+22), and Morgan Guepet finished tied for 27th with rounds of 77-80-83 (+24).
