Women’s Golf Completes 2025 Portion of Season with Third Place Finish at FBCI

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team wrapped up the 2025 portion of its schedule on Tuesday (Oct. 28), as the Bulldogs finished third in the French Broad Collegiate Invitational. 

The tournament was condensed from a three-round 54-hole tournament to a 36-hole two-round tournament due to the inclement weather. Play was suspended during yesterday's first round, and the teams played approximately 27 holes today. 

Lauren Madson led Asheville with rounds of 76-74 and finished tied for seventh (+6). Caroline Patterson followed in 11th at +8 with rounds of 74-78. Breanna Hoese finished tied for 12th with rounds of 75-79 (+10), Jordyn Arts finished T14 with rounds of 79-76 (+11), and Pennie Osterberg rounded out the top five tied for 18th with rounds of 81-76 (+13). 

As individuals, Sydney Craven finished T33 (85-77) and Carly Sherman finished T50 (90-86).
