LAST TIME OUT
The Terrier Intercollegiate is Asheville's first tournament in the month of October, as the Bulldogs' last time out was at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Wolcott, Colo., Sept. 22-24. Asheville finished in a three-way tie for 10th in an elite field of competition.
Caroline Patterson earned Big South Golfer of the Week honors for her efforts in Colorado. At the Golfweek Red Sky Classic, Patterson shot an even-par 216 (75-69-72) and finished in a tie for 22nd out of 100 competitors. In a field that featured five Power Conference programs, Patterson tied for second overall in par-3 scoring (-3) and finished with 10 birdies.
LAST YEAR AT THE TERRIER INTERCOLLEGIATE
This will be Asheville's second year in a row competing in the Terrier Intercollegiate. Last season, Asheville's A Team tied in fifth with a 3-round score of 934 (308, 308, 318). The Bulldogs finished tied with Big South foe Gardner-Webb and defeated Big South competitors USC Upstate (10th) and Presbyterian (11th). Patterson finished the tournament in second place with rounds of 69-73-76 (+2).
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The Bulldogs will compete in two 18-hole rounds on Monday and one 18-hole round on Tuesday for the 54-hole tournament.
