Asheville Finishes Tied for Third at Terrier Intercollegiate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team wrapped up the Terrier Intercollegiate on Tuesday (Oct.14) and tied for third out of the 14-team field.
Asheville's final round was the best round of the tournament for the Bulldogs as they closed out the tournament with a 290 (+2). Asheville shot an 899 overall (311-298-290) to finish tied with App State. ETSU won the tournament with a 3-round score of 891, and Wofford finished runner-up with a three-round score of 897.

The Bulldogs finished ahead of four Big South Conference foes (Winthrop, Gardner-Webb, Presbyterian, and USC Upstate).
BULLDOG RESULTS
The Bulldogs were led by Caroline Patterson, who posted her best finish of the season with a fourth-place showing at +6 (77–72–73).
Jordyn Arts joined her in the top 10, tying for eighth at +8 (77–75–73), marking her second top-10 finish of the fall.
Breanna Hoese delivered consistent rounds of 79–74–74 to tie for 12th, giving the Bulldogs three players inside the top 15.
Pennie Osterberg added a solid showing with rounds of 78–77–76 to finish T19, while Lauren Madson surged on the final day with a tournament-best 70 (-2) to climb into a tie for 26th.
UP NEXT
Asheville has two fall tournaments remaining, with their next stop being the UNCG Collegiate Oct. 20-21, before hosting the French Broad Collegiate Invitational Oct. 27-28.
