Bulldogs Travel to Colorado for Red Sky Classic

ASHEVILLE, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Golf team returns to the course this week (Sept. 23-25) as the Bulldogs compete in the Red Sky Classic, hosted by Golfweek.
The tournament is played at the Red Sky Country Club and Golf Course in Wolcott, Colorado. The Bulldogs will play three 18-hole rounds starting on Monday and concluding on Wednesday.

About the Bulldogs: Asheville enters the tournament following an impressive last outing at the Velvet Classic (Sept. 16-17). Caroline Patterson led the field with 12 birdies, winning the individual championship and helping UNC Asheville to a second-place finish in the team standings. In just her second tournament for Asheville, Patterson was named Big South Conference Co-Golfer of the Week last Thursday, Sept. 19. She won the individual title with a 1-over 217 (74-68-75) and finished three strokes ahead of the second-place finisher.
About the Tournament Field: Asheville is a part of the 14-team field that includes Mercer University, South Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Kansas, Arkansas State, Eastern Michigan, Boise State, East Tennessee State, Pepperdine, CSU Sacramento, Wichita State, and UC Irvine.
