Patterson Secures Top-25 Finish in Historic NCAA Regional Appearance

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – UNC Asheville's Caroline Patterson capped one of the finest seasons in program history on Wednesday (May 13), earning a top-25 finish at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional in the first NCAA Tournament appearance by a women's golfer in program history.
Competing against a nationally-ranked regional field at The UNC Finley Golf Course, Patterson finished in a three-way tie for 25th after carding rounds of 70-72-75 to post a 54-hole total of 217 (+7). Among the individuals competing at the regional, Patterson tied for the third-best finish.

Kotchasanmanee captured medalist honors among the individual qualifiers and advanced to the NCAA National Championship. The five teams advancing from the Chapel Hill Regional were Texas, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Michigan State and Virginia.

Patterson opened the tournament with an even-par 70 and remained steady throughout the week, finishing tied for seventh in the field with 36 pars while recording six birdies across the three-round tournament.
Patterson's NCAA Regional appearance adds another milestone to a historic 2025-26 campaign that also saw her become the first individual Big South Women's Golf Champion in program history.
