Caroline Patterson Opens NCAA Chapel Hill Regional with Even-Par Round

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Caroline Patterson made her Bulldog debut at the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional on Monday (May 11), opening play with an even-par 70 in the first round at UNC Finley Golf Course.Â
Representing UNC Asheville as an individual qualifier, Patterson finished the first round tied for 12th overall in a highly competitive field that featured some of the top teams and players in the country. She finished the day just five strokes off the individual lead and even with the course par on the 6,177-yard layout. Among the individuals playing, she is second among the six competitors.Â

The individual with the lowest score following the three-round regional tournament will advance to compete in the NCAA National Championship Tournament May 22-27 at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The NCAA Chapel Hill Regional continues Tuesday with Patterson teeing off from hole one at 9:50 a.m.
