Caroline Patterson Rewrites Record Book as Asheville Finishes Fall Season in Georgia

FORSYTH, Ga. – It was a career day on the course for Caroline Patterson as she shot a 5-under par to lead the field in the final round of the Mercer Invitational on Tuesday and help the Bulldogs to a fifth-place finish.
Patterson is the third individual in program history to shoot a 67-round; however, 5-under par is the lowest round in school history, and the course par was 72. Patterson finished the tournament with a 3-round score of 213, 3-under par. Her under-par finish is the first time in program history a Bulldog has finished a tournament under par.
Patterson finished the tournament tied in fifth with rounds of 71, 75 and 67.
Ally Kerr and Beryl Giletti tied for 31st as Kerr shot rounds of 80, 75, and 75, and Giletti shot rounds of 79, 74, and 77. Both ladies were +14-over.
In the individual slot, Claudia Salvador tied for 46th with rounds of 76, 82, and 82 (+24).
Jordyn Arts tied for 55th with rounds of 82, 80, and 81 (+27), and Morgan Guepet tied for 59th with rounds of 75, 79 and 90 (+28).
Patterson led the field, shooting 7-under across the three rounds on par-5 holes, and led the field with 15 birdies.

With the conclusion of Tuesday's round, the Bulldogs have finished the 2024 portion of their season and will turn their attention to the 2025 spring season. Asheville returns to the course February 11-18 as the Bulldogs compete in the Rivertowne Invitational hosted by Charleston Southern.
