ASHEVILLE, N.C. - UNC Asheville women's golf opens the 2023 season at the Lady Bison Classic on Sunday (Feb. 5) at Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.

About the Bulldogs - The Bulldogs open their 2023 spring season riding some momentum from the Fall, coming off four consecutive top-five team finishes. Ally Kerr joins the Bulldogs mid-year from the University of Idaho. Four Bulldogs average in the 70s on the year in Madyson Gold (74.33), Venecia Zaia (75.83), Kayla Benge (77.42) and Pheobe Carles (78.00). Sierra Cardi and Amber Capote will also be competing as individuals in the tournament.
About the Tournament Field - Lipscomb University will host the tournament, while the Bulldogs will also compete against Florida Gulf Coast, Morehead State, Loyola Chicago, North Alabama, South Dakota State, Murray State, Bucknell, Dayton, UAB, Lehigh, Valparaiso, Bethune-Cookman and Chattanooga.
