UNC Asheville's Ross Cash Stepping Down After Successful Tenure as Women's Golf Coach

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – UNC Asheville Head Women's Golf Coach Ross Cash is stepping down from his position, effective July 31, 2026.
"I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Ross for his leadership and vision for our women's golf program," said Director of Athletics Janet R. Cone. "His dedication has elevated our team to new heights, and we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavors."
Under Cash's leadership, the Bulldogs achieved several program milestones, including their first appearance in the Big South Championship match and an individual berth in the NCAA Women's Golf Chapel Hill Regional.
The Bulldogs also earned the highest national ranking in program history, reaching No. 93 in the country during the fall of 2025.
During his four seasons, Cash coached 14 All-Big South selections while leading the Bulldogs to a sixth-place-or-better finish at every Big South Championship, including a program-best runner-up finish this past season.
Cash was also recognized nationally, ranking No. 20 in Golfweek's 2025 College Coach Survey.
