Baseball readies for a pair of games Sunday in Johnson City

Sunday's game vs. Rider has been canceled due to the wintry weather that hit the area. However, the Bulldogs will still take on ETSU in Johnson City on Sunday. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville baseball team will be back in on Sunday when it makes the short trip to Johnson City, Tennessee, for a pair of non-conference games against Rider and East Tennessee State. The first pitch between the Bulldogs and Broncs is set for 11 a.m., while the tilt vs. ETSU will begin roughly 30 minutes after the first game.
Probable Pitching Matchups
Game 1 – RHP Alec Sachais (Rider) vs. LHP Jacob Edwards (UNC Asheville) – 11 a.m.
Game 2 – RHP Hunter Loyd (ETSU) vs. RHP Ryan Douglas (UNC Asheville) – Approximately 3 p.m.
Last Time Out – Asheville came away with an impressive 5-2 win over High Point last Tuesday at Greenwood Field. The victory was the first for the Bulldogs over the Panthers since 2017 and improved their record to 4-9 in 2022.
