Women's Golf Takes Second at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational

ARDEN, N.C. - The UNC Asheville Women's Golf team took second place in the French Broad Collegiate Invitational at The Cliffs at Walnut Cove on Monday (Nov. 7). Â Â
The Bulldogs squared off against USC Upstate in the match play championship, dropping a tight 3-2 contest.
Hailey Pendleton captured a 7&5 victory over Amber Amaker, while Venecia Zaia defeated Elin Wahlgren 3&2. Suwarin Yordin defeated Kayla Benge in a tight 1-up contest, while Madyson Gold dropped a tight 6&4 match to Beem Pabsimma and Amber Capote fell 6&4 to Praew Nontarux.
This concludes the Fall 2022 women's golf season. The Bulldogs will start up the spring 2023 season at Lipscomb University's Lady Bison Classic on Feb. 5. The tournament will be played at Bay Point Golf Club in Panama City, Fla.
