Women’s Golf readies for the Jupiter Women’s Invitational

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team will continue its fall schedule on Monday and Tuesday this week when it competes at the Jupiter Women's Invitational in Jupiter, Florida. The Bulldogs and the rest of the field will tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Monday morning.
Last Time Out – Asheville began its fall schedule back on September 12-13 at the Green Wave Fall Classic. Over the two-day tournament, the Bulldogs shot a 19-over 307. Individually, Asheville was led by Madyson Gold, who shot a 7-over 223 in her first three rounds of the fall.
About the Tournament – This week's tournament will take place at Jonathan's Landing Golf Club. The Club has three courses on its property and the tournament will be played at the Match at Old Trail. Par for the tournament will be 70 and the course stretches for 5,890 yards. Gold, Phoebe Carles, Kayla Benge, Venecia Zaia, and Amber Capote will be the five golfers from Asheville that will be competing.
Other Teams Competing – Asheville will be joined in Jupiter by host Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Western Carolina, Jacksonville, Stetson, Troy, Lamar, and Seminole State. FAU will look to repeat as this tournament's winner as the Owls won the team title at last year's edition of the event that was played at PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie.
