UNC Asheville Hosts Senior Day on Saturday

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – In the final home game of the 2017 season, the UNC Asheville women's soccer team will recognize seven seniors on Saturday, Oct. 21 as the Bulldogs square off with Liberty at Greenwood Field.
Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

The Bulldogs enter the final home game of the season with a 6-9-1 overall record and 2-5 Big South Conference mark.
Senior midfielder Courtney Naber scored the lone goal for the Bulldogs in their last match, which was her seventh goal of the season. The seventh goal of the year ranks the Loveland, Ohio native in the top 15 in UNC Asheville's all-time history in a single season. In her career, she has 17 goals and eight game-winning goals, which is one of the best in program history.
Erika Snyder and Skyler Chillson found their way on the scoresheet at Radford as they were both awarded an assist on Naber's goal in the 66th minute, and it was the first-ever assist for either Bulldog. Chillson has the third-most points on the team with seven, and Snyder has three points after she netted her first collegiate goal versus Presbyterian.

Between the seven Bulldogs, they have played in 391 games, totaled 26,877 minutes, scored 50 goals, tallied 42 assists and netted 15 game-winning goals.
Scouting Liberty
The Flames travel to Asheville with an 8-6-3 overall record and a 6-1-1 mark in league play. Liberty lost its most recent match at Longwood as the Flames fell 3-0 in Farmville, Va. The three goals allowed matched a season high for the Flames.
Liberty has been very competitive in Big South play this year as it has won all six games by one goal including five victories via a 1-0 decision.
Liberty has a strong defense this year as it is ranked 86th in the nation in shutout percentage (0.412) and 87th in goals against average (0.954) and save percentage (0.811). In conference play, the Flames have a 0.47 goals against average and average 0.75 shutouts per contest. Leading the defensive surge is freshman goalkeeper Melody Jayroe. She has started 13 games and sports an 8-4-1 record, and seven of her eight wins have come by means of a shutout. She has allowed only 11 goals in 1222:08 minutes between the posts, and she sports a 0.81 goals against average while corralling 54 saves.
Leading the offense is senior midfielder Isabella Habuda. The Canada native leads her squad in goals (5), assists (4), points (14), shots (35), shots on goal (18) and game-winning goals (4). There is a four-way tie for second on the team in goals between Devon Jones, Gabrielle Farrell, Abigail Persson and Sierra Lam.
