NOTABLES
-Zach Joens finished with a team-high four shots for Asheville. Ryan Enriquez notched three shots and three different Bulldogs had two shots each.
-Goalkeeper Zak Davis faced 11 total shots, and three on goal, in the victory.
-Asheville recorded 10 of their 17 total shots in the second half of action.
QUOTABLES
“I was very pleased with the result, we absolutely controlled the match in a game we always looked like we were going to be on top of. We found a way to win the match, and quite honestly if we had gone to overtime, I thought VMI was going to do enough to take a point away from us and maybe get a tie out of it. Decision making has to be better, but we are getting closer to turning in a full 90 minute performance. We'll get back to training and get ready for a good High Point team to start Big South play on our field.” - Head Coach Mathes Mennell
UP NEXT
-Asheville now travels home to prepare for their Big South Conference opener against High Point next Saturday night at Greenwood Field.
