Tyler Ware Named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week

LONG BEACH, Calif. - UNC Asheville Men's Soccer senior forward Tyler Ware has been named to Top Drawer Soccer's Team of the Week, announced by the organization today (Tuesday, Sept. 22).

Asheville went 2-0-0 on the week with a 2-1 win over ETSU on Wednesday (Sept. 16) and a 3-0 win over Longwood on Saturday (Sept. 19). The Bulldogs (6-1-1) continue their best start since 1996, and open conference play with a clean sheet for the first time since 2019.

Ware registered an assist in the win over ETSU, along with a brace including the game-winner and an assist in the win over Longwood for six points on the week.

This is Ware's first career honor from Top Drawer Soccer, after being named the Big South Conference's Offensive Player of the Week each of the last two weeks.

The Hooper, Utah native is a business major.

The Bulldogs (6-1-1, 1-0-0 Big South) return to action Wednesday night (Sept. 23) at Georgia State in non-conference action. Kickoff is set for 6:00 p.m. from Atlanta, Ga. with video and live stats available at www.uncabulldogs.com.
