Baseball Edged at Furman, 8-7

GREENVILLE, S.C. ? Campbell Lewis delivered a lead off, walk-off home run in the bottom on the ninth inning to power Furman to an 8-7 comeback win over UNC Asheville in baseball action Tuesday night at Furman Stadium.
The Bulldogs (6-9) had led 7-0 in the second inning before the Paladins (8-4) rallied for the win.
The Bulldogs opened the scoring with three runs in the first inning. Kevin Wiedenbacher opened the game with a double and came home on Mattison's RBI-double for 1-0
But Furman's pitching limited the Bulldogs to just three hits and no runs the rest of the game. The Paladins got back in the game with four runs in the bottom of the second to cut the lead to 7-4.
Furman got single runs in the fourth and fifth innings to narrow the lead to 7-6.
