Fall 2021 Season (Senior) - During her final season as a Bulldog, McClinton led Asheville in both aces (20) and digs (233)...In 24 matches and 87 sets played, McClinton ranked second amongst Bulldogs in points scored (277) and kills (241)...Posted 11 double-digit kill matches in 2021...Her top offensive performance came at Hampton on October 2 with 21 kills...Also had 11 double-figure dig matches, which led to eight double-doubles...Totaled a career-high 20 digs in a match at Gardner-Webb on October 30.
Spring 2021 Season (Junior) - McClinton had a breakout season during the unique spring season in 2021...The outside hitter from Louisville led all Big South players with 201 kills, while also pacing Asheville in points scored (227.0) and attack attempts (595)...Also finished fourth on the team with 27 blocks and third in digs and aces with totals of 120 and 11, respectively...Posted double-figure kill totals in 10 of 16 matches during the spring season, including in each of her last six matches...Tallied five double-doubles during that stretch as well...Notched a season-high 25 kills (.488 hitting percentage) vs. Radford on March 11 before following that with another 23 kills against the Highlanders a day later...Was named the Big South's Player of the Week on March 9...For her work all season long, McClinton landed a spot on the All-Big South Second Team following the season.Â
2019 Season (Sophomore) - Saw action in 16 matches and 24 sets … Ended her sophomore campaign with 20 kills and 19 digs … Notched a season-best seven kills to go along with four digs and a block assist at Winthrop (11/9) … Secured a season-best six digs in the season opener against Southern (8/30).
2018 Season (Freshman) -Â McClinton appeared in 58 sets and 19 matches for the Bulldogs ... She closed out her first season in a Bulldog uniform with 62 kills and 56 digs ... She averaged 1.07 kills and 0.97 digs per set ... McClinton finished with a season-best nine kills in UNC Asheville's league match at USC Upstate (10/9) ... She captured a season-best seven digs in UNC Asheville's win over Tennessee State (9/1) ... McClinton also had 16 blocks on the season.
Prior to UNC Asheville -Â McClinton was selected as the outstanding varsity hitter on her high school team for her final three years ... She helped lead her team to the KHSAA Class A state championship in 2015 and 2016 ... A two-time KHSAA All-Tournament Team selection, McClinton was the Most Valuable Player in the tournament in 2016 ... An AAU Premier All-American in 2017, McClinton was a part of four District Championship teams at Presentation.
