2021 Spring Season (Junior) - During the spring season in 2021, Volk was one of four Bulldogs to start and play in every set...Paced the team with 493 assists and finished second on the Bulldogs in both aces (13) and digs (160)...Led Asheville with seven double-doubles during the spring season...Had four 40-plus assist outings as well with her top performance coming on March 5 at Presbyterian with a season-high 56 assists...Logged a season-high four aces at Charleston Southern on March 8...Posted a 43-assist, 23-dig performance to help the Bulldogs edge Winthrop in the season finale in five sets...Off the court, Volk earned the prestigious Goldwater Scholarship...Along with that honor, Volk was also named the Spring 2021 Big South Scholar-Athlete of the Year, All-Academic team member, and landed a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-District team.Â
2019 Season (Sophomore) - Finished second on the team with 230 assists … Opened the year with double-figure assists in nine straight matches … Recorded a season-best 27 assists on three different occasions: against Long Beach State (8/31), North Carolina A&T (9/7) and USC Upstate (9/28) … Also finished fourth on the team with 1.79 digs per set on a total of 102 digs … Had a season-best 12 digs to go along with 15 assists against Dartmouth (9/7) for her lone double-double of the year … Finished with 10 service aces and eight kills.
2018 Season (Freshman) -Â Volk was chosen to the Big South All-Freshman Team ... She also was named Big South Freshman of the Week twice (11/5 and 11/12) ... Volk was 10-1 as a starter for the Bulldogs ... Volk finished the year averaging 7.02 assists per set ... During league play, Volk averaged a Big South sixth-best 7.37 assists per set ... Volk led the Bulldogs on the year with 400 assists in total ... Volk finished her freshman season with five double-doubles ... She had 12 double-digit assist matches during the season ... Volk finished with a team single-match season-best 49 assists in UNC Asheville's Big South Tournament win over USC Upstate (11/16) ... She had a season-best 18 digs in UNC Asheville's home conference win over Presbyterian College (10/20) ... Volk also averaged 2.02 digs per set ... She had 115 digs on the season.
Prior to UNC Asheville -Â A four-time all-conference selection, Volk was chosen first-team all-conference in both 2016 and 2017 ... A three-year team captain, Volk was also an all-state honorable mention selection from 2014-17 ... The Valedictorian at her high school, Volk was the Arlington High School Student Council President and the National Honor Society President ... She was also the team captain of her club team that finished second place at nationals.
