Before UNC Asheville: Graduated from Mount Tabor HS in Winston-Salem...helped lead school to 2002 state championship in cross country...named to all-conference team in both cross country and track as a junior and senior...earned Edward Jones Leadership Award...named NCHSAA scholar-athlete for track and field.
