Overview: Junior who enjoyed an outstanding year in the javelin this season during outdoor...earned a spot in the East Regional in the javelin...great story who did not compete in track and field in high school... co-president of UNC Asheville's Sports Performance Club and Blue Ridge Weightlifting and Sports Performance Club and helps train student-athletes at UNC Asheville.
2010-11: At the Dick Taylor Invitational threw a personal best of 13.87m (45-6.25) in the shot put, placing 8th, and 14.38m (47-2.25) in the weight throw, placing 10th.
2009-2010: Third year javelin and decathlon athlete with a personal best of 211'10'' (64.57 meters) in the javelin...ranked 26th in the East Region and became the first Bulldog javelin thrower to ever advance to a regional...set four consecutive school records this year as he opened up the season with a personal best of 60.98 at Coastal Carolina (3-14)...moved up to 61.22 and a first-place finish at Charlotte (3-20)...set another record at the Duke Invitational (4-3) at 63.81 before hitting the current record of 64.57 at the Big South Conference Championship (4-15) where he placed fourth overall
2008-2009: Had a personal best of 55.56 meters thrown at the Big South Conference meet, placing 7th overall...improved by over 10 meters since the spring 2008 season.
2007-2008: Walk-on with an interest in the javelin...ended season with a personal best of 44.66 meters at the Western Carolina Invitational. Placed 9th at the Big South Conference Championship...also competed in shot put.
Before UNC Asheville: Attended East Chapel Hill High School. Did not compete in track and field.
