Overview: Enjoyed a tremendous 2008 season which saw him set a Big South Conference and school record for the longest consecutive hitting streak with 31 games...was named first team all-conference by the Big South following the regular season...was UNC Asheville’s starting shortstop from the first game...good hitter who has some power and speed...will be looking for all-conference region honors in 2009.

2008: UNC Asheville’s leading hitter with a .337 average...set a Big South and UNC Asheville record with a 31-game hitting streak...had a hit in every game from Feb. 29 against Akron to April 12 against VMI...was the nation’s third longest streak...hit .404 during the streak and had 14 multi-hit games...second on team in runs scored (48) and third in doubles (15)...began the streak with three hits against Akron (2-29)...went 6-for-9 in two-game series at Florida State (3-4 & 3-5)...had four hits, including three doubles and two RBI against Marist (3-16)...went 3-for-4 with two RBI in home win over Hartford (3-22)...pounded out triple and had three hits and three RBI against Western Carolina (3-26)...went 7-for-13 with five runs scored in three-game league series vs. Liberty (4-5, 4-6, 4-7)...ended the season strong with hits in nine of last 10 games...led Bulldogs in hits with 86...hit .376 against Big South Conference opponents...had 12 different games with at least three hits...had a hit in 19 of 21 BSC games.

Before UNC Asheville: Played two seasons at Calhoun Community College where he hit .305 as a sophomore with six doubles and five triples...started 56 of 57 games and drove in 37 runs for the Warhawks who posted a 36-14 record in 2007...led the team with 19 stolen bases in 21 attempts...hit .404 as a senior at Archbishop Rummel High School...hit one home run with nine triples and 38 RBI as a senior...also stole 18 bases...member of the All-Academic Team...also ran Cross Country in high school...has a brother, Kyle, who runs track at Southern University.
