2017 (Redshirt Senior): Helped guide UNC Asheville back to the Big South Conference Baseball Championship for the first time since 2012 as the Bulldogs advanced to the semifinal round for the first time since 2007 … UNC Asheville finished second in NCAA Division I for outfield assists (18) with Woods tied for ninth in the nation with four outfield assists … Helped UNC Asheville lead the Big South Conference with 17 runners picked off and led the team with four pickoffs of his own … His four pickoffs were tied for second-most in the league … Helped UNC Asheville finish third in the league with 47 double plays turned … Not only did Woods give UNC Asheville a solid bat at the plate and glove in left field, but he also turned into a solid reliever as he made 21 appearances, mostly out of the bullpen, for the Bulldogs … On the mound, he made four starts and pitched 22.1 innings while earning a team-best five saves on the year … His five saves on the year was seventh-most in the Big South Conference … Of Bulldog pitchers who threw over 20 innings, Woods led the team with a 3.22 ERA to go along with a 3-4 record … Struck out 14 batters on the year … As a position player, batted .212 for the season with 33 hits, including 18 that went for extra bases … Was second on the team with 13 doubles and third with five home runs … Started the year with an eight-game hitting streak, including a grand slam at USC Upstate (2/22) … In those first eight games, he batted .364 with five runs scored and 11 runs batted in … Had eight multi-hit games on the year, including a season-high three hits at Appalachian State (3/8) … In the game against the Mountaineers, he also made his first start on the mound for the Bulldogs and went 3-for-4 with one run scored and a double … Scored the game-winning run in the Bulldogs’ walk-off, extra-innings win over Radford (5/7) as freshman Joe Gruszka singled through the left side with two outs in the bottom of the 10th … Had six games with multiple RBIs … Ended his career 10th in program history for being hit by a pitch with 16.
2016 (Redshirt Junior):  Appeared in 33 games for the Bulldogs, earning 16 starts … Began to develop into a two-way player who offered another relief arm as he also made three appearances on the mound … As a position player, posted a .211 batting average with 15 hits, 12 RBIs, 10 runs scored, one double and one home run … Boasted a .345 on base percentage … Stole one base on one attempt … On the mound, pitched 4.2 innings and struck out three batters as he held a 3.86 ERA and held opponents to a .200 batting average.
2015 (Redshirt Sophomore): Started 42 games with 48 total appearances … Collected 11 doubles and three home runs … Drove in 24 runs … Finished with a season-high four RBIs in the season-opener against Ohio (2/13) … Tallied eight multi-hit games over the course of the season, including three hits at Furman (3/11) … Versatile player that played four different positions in the field and served as DH throughout the season.

2013 (Freshman): Played in 32 games and earned 24 starts … Hit a solid .287 with five doubles, one triple and one home run … Drove in 17 runs … Posted three hits with two RBIs in road win at Longwood (3/17) … Had a nine-game hitting streak midway through season … Hit first collegiate home run vs. Winthrop (5/16) … Drove in two runs in six different games.
Before UNC Asheville: Helped lead Tuscola to three straight conference championships … Played for head coach Caleb McConnell … Was an All-Conference selection as a junior and senior … Junior year was named second-team All-Region … Named team MVP as a junior and Offensive Player of the Year as a senior … Hit .421 as a junior with three home runs and 26 RBIs … Senior season hit .425 with two home runs and 28 RBIs … Excellent athlete who also lettered in basketball, cross country and track & field.
