2017 (Freshman): Helped guide UNC Asheville back to the Big South Conference Baseball Championship for the first time since 2012 as the Bulldogs advanced to the semifinal round for the first time since 2007 … Helped UNC Asheville lead the Big South Conference with 17 runners picked off …Made 18 appearances on the year, including earning five starts as a true freshman … Pitched 50.1 innings, third-most on the team … Ended the year with a 4-3 record and 5.90 ERA … Struck out 31 batters … Held opponents to a .236 batting average … Made his collegiate debut at Samford (2/17) as he pitched 2.0 innings of one-hit, scoreless ball and struck out one … Earned his first collegiate win in Spartanburg against Dayton (2/24) as he pitched 4.2 innings and didn’t give up a run … Earned his first collegiate start against UMBC (3/10) and went 5.0 innings … Struck out a season-high five batters at Presbyterian (3/24) when he pitched a season-high seven frames … Fanned three batters four times, including at Richmond (4/1), at home against Charleston Southern (4/7), at Campbell (4/23) and at Gardner-Webb (5/19) … Had five scoreless outings, including twice against Samford, in Spartanburg against Dayton (2/24) and at home against Wofford (4/11).
