A Look at the 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Roster

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – With the 2026-27 men's basketball roster now set, Asheville has returned to the gym for summer workouts in preparation for the upcoming season. Here is a look at the complete 2026-27 roster. 

#0 Ja'Corey Lipkins 

Lipkins transfers to Asheville from Purdue Fort Wayne as a redshirt sophomore. He is from Canton, Ohio and is a 6-2, guard. Lipkins spent his freshman season at Charleston (W.V.) and was named Mountain East Conference Freshman of the Year after appearing in all 28 games, making 16 starts and leading the team with 14.3 points per game. 

#1 Jermaurhiyun Anderson

Anderson transfers to Asheville from Louisiana Tech as a redshirt sophomore. He is from Greenville, S.C. and is a 6-4 guard. Anderson spent his freshman season at East Mississippi Community College where he averaged a team-high 15.1 points and earned All-MACCC Honorable Mention honors. 

#2 Quintin Mansfield 

Mansfield is a 6-7 forward from Snellville, Ga., and is coming off a 30-1 senior season at Gainesville High School. Mansfield comes to Asheville as the No. 11 high school forward in the state of Georgia. 

#3 Khayri Dunn

Dunn transfers to Asheville from Georgia Southern as a junior. He is from Conyers, Ga., and is a 6-1 guard. Dunn played in 36 of the Eagles' 37 contests this past season. Off the bench, Dunn averaged 17.5 minutes and produced 7.4 points per game on 39.7 percent shooting. 

#5 Myles Mayfield 

Mayfield begins his sophomore season with the men's basketball program in 2026-27. The 6-8 forward from Orlando, Fla., appeared in all 32 games while averaging 4.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest. He earned Big South All-Freshman Team honors and was named Freshman of the Week twice. 

#6 Tylon Chatman 

Chatman, a 6-foot junior transfer guard, comes to Asheville from Lee University, a Division II program in Cleveland, Tenn. In three seasons with the Flames, he appeared in 63 games, averaging 26.9 minutes and 11.0 points per game. He totaled 169 career assists and 47 steals, while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 37.4 percent from three-point range. Chatman is from Brownsville, Tenn. 

#7 Connor Dubsky 

Dubsky enters his third year with the program, after redshirting this past season. In his lone appearance last season, he scored 15 points off five 3-pointers in 13:26 minutes of action. In 2024-25 he averaged 4.5 points a game with 29 of his 32 field goals coming from 3-point range. The 6-4 guard is from Woodbridge, Va. 

#8 Logan Johnson 

Johnson is a 6-5 combo guard from Carmel Christian in Charlotte, N.C. His senior year, Johnson played in 22 games, averaging 17.1 points per game, 4.4 rebounds per game and 2.2 assists per game. Johnson was named to the 4A NCISAA All State Team. 

#9 Ian Bailey 

Bailey comes to Asheville as one of the area's top prospects. The Weaverville, N.C., native attended Asheville Christian Academy and is a 6-4 point guard. His senior year, he was named to the NCISAA All-State Team and was also named to the All-State Team in 2025. His junior year he averaged 19.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.1 steals. 

#10 Abou Magassa

Magassa transfers to Asheville from Wyoming as a sophomore. He is from Morsang-sur-Orge, France, and is a 6-7 forward. Magassa transfers to Asheville from Wyoming after spending two seasons with the Cowboys. Over his two-year stint, Magassa appeared in 49 games with 22 starts while averaging 12.6 minutes and 3.3 rebounds per game. He also shot an efficient .663 (65-of-98) from the field and averaged 3.3 points per game.  

#11 Kelcy Phipps

Phipps transfers to Asheville from Portland State as a junior. He is from Carson, Calif., and is a 6-2 guard. Phipps averaged 4.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 17 minutes per game. He shot .431 from 3-point range. 

#13 Daniel Thomas 

Thomas begins his sophomore season with the men's basketball program in 2026-27. The 6-8 forward from Dallas, Texas, started in 19 games and in league play, Thomas averaged 3.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game while recording 10 blocks. Thomas earned Big South Freshman of the Week honors once this season and earned Big South All-Freshman Team honors.

#14 Brayden Rivers

Rivers returns for his second season with the program as a redshirt freshman. The 6-7 small forward is from Huntsville, Ala., and was named the Al.com Fans Player of the Year in 2025. 

#24 Corey Jones 

Jones begins his fourth season with the men's basketball program for the 2026-27 season. The 6-2 guard from Wake Forest, N.C., played in 18 games (making one start), tripling his games played from the year prior. He averaged 8.7 minutes per game, scoring 12 points, dishing out nine assists and grabbing nine rebounds. 

#44 Sage Tolentino 

Tolentino will begin his third season with the program as a redshirt senior. The 7-1 forward from Kane'ohe, Hawaii, played in 27 games last year and made three starts. He averaged 9.2 minutes per game, scored 30 points, grabbed 48 rebounds and had 13 blocks.
