Bulldogs Ready to Wrap Up Regular Season at the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Asheville women's golf team is set to compete in the team's final regular season tournament before preparing for the Big South Conference Championship as the Bulldogs travel to Pawleys Island, S.C., to compete in the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge April 6-8.

UNC Asheville women's golf turned in a strong comeback performance at the Bentwater Women's Collegiate, rallying from a tie for seventh after the first two rounds to finish fourth overall. The Bulldogs posted their best round of the tournament in the final round (305, +17), improving by 12 strokes from round two and climbing three spots in the standings to finish at 930 (+66).
Individually, Breanna Hoese led the way with a fifth-place finish, posting rounds of 74-77-76 while Caroline Patterson fired a final-round 74 (+2) to finish tied for sixth.
Hoese's performance earned her Big South Conference Co-Golfer of the Week honors.
