UNC Asheville Leads Low Country Intercollegiate as Madson, Patterson Go 1–2

HILTON HEAD, S.C. – It was an exciting opening day at the Low Country Intercollegiate on Monday (March 9), as the UNC Asheville women's golf team sits atop the team leaderboard, with Lauren Madson and Caroline Patterson occupying the top two spots on the individual leaderboard.
The Bulldogs lead the 15-team field by eight strokes with a team score of 605 (304–301, +29). The 36-hole total marks Asheville's best two-round performance of the spring season.
Following Asheville is Richmond in second (305–308, with App State and Wofford close behind in a tie for third. UNCG is in fifth (313–306).

Asheville Leaderboard
Lauren Madson leads both the Bulldogs and the individual leaderboard at +2 (73–73—146) after posting back-to-back rounds of 73, finishing just one stroke over par in each round.
Caroline Patterson sits just behind her teammate in second place at +3 (72–75—147). Patterson opened the tournament with an even-par 72 before adding a steady second round to remain firmly in contention.
Jordyn Arts is tied for 20th at +11 (76–79—155), while Breanna Hoese rounds out the Bulldog lineup in a three-way tie for 27th at +13 (83–74—157) after improving by nine strokes in the second round.
