Women’s Golf Heads to Hilton Head for Low Country Intercollegiate

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Asheville women's golf team is set to compete March 9-10 in the Low Country Intercollegiate on Hilton Head Island, S.C., hosted by Wofford.

The tournament will be played at the Golf Club at Indigo Run (Par 72 | 6,707 yards) with round one beginning at 9 a.m. on Monday. Live scoring will be available via Clippd.

THE FIELD

In addition to Asheville and tournament host Wofford, the field includes The Citadel, App State, Dayton, Tennessee Tech, Richmond, UNC Greensboro, ETSU, USC Upstate, Gardner-Webb, Western Carolina, Quinnipiac, Butler and Winthrop.

LAST TIME OUT

UNC Asheville is coming off a third-place finish at the River Landing Classic (March 2–3) in Wallace, N.C. The Bulldogs improved in each round of the 54-hole event, posting scores of 316, 302 and a final-round 297 to finish with a team total of 915 (+51). Caroline Patterson led Asheville with a third-place individual finish at 218 (+2), highlighted by a final-round 1-under 71. Lauren Madson also recorded a top-10 finish, tying for eighth at 223 (+7). Breanna Hoese placed 16th, while Carly Sherman and Sydney Craven rounded out the Bulldogs' lineup as Asheville secured a top-three team finish behind UNC Wilmington and Kennesaw State.
