Women’s Golf Set to Compete in Bentwater Women's Collegiate

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Asheville women's golf team is set to compete March 23-24 in the Bentwater Women's Collegiate in Acworth, Ga., hosted by Kennesaw State.

THE FIELD

In addition to Asheville and tournament host Kennesaw State, the field includes UAB, Saint Leo, Elon, West Georgia, Tennessee Tech, Seminole State (Fla.), Northern Colorado, Eastern Kentucky, Louisville and Winthrop.

LAST TIME OUT

Asheville is coming off a dominant performance at the Low Country Intercollegiate (March 8–10), capturing the team title with a three-round score of 901 (+37). The Bulldogs posted rounds of 304-301-296, including a final-round 296—their lowest round of the spring—and were the only team in the field to record a sub-300 round.

Despite competing with just four healthy players, Asheville pulled away from the field to win by 18 strokes, marking the program's first tournament victory since 2019 and the first under head coach Ross Cash.

Individually, Caroline Patterson led the way, earning medalist honors with a three-round score of 217 (+1), highlighted by a 2-under 70 in the final round. Lauren Madson added a top-five finish, while Jordyn Arts and Breanna Hoese each placed inside the top 20 to round out the Bulldogs' lineup. Patterson's performance earned her Big South Conference Golfer of the Week honors.
