Women’s Golf Set to Compete at River Landing Classic

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The Asheville women's golf team returns to action March 2-3 as the Bulldogs travel to Wallace, N.C., to compete in the River Landing Classic, hosted by UNC Wilmington.

The 54-hole event will feature 36 holes on Monday (March 2) followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday (March 3). Both days will begin with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start.

The tournament will be played at River Landing (Par 72 | 6,088 yards). Live scoring will be available via Clippd.

THE FIELD

In addition to Asheville and tournament host UNC Wilmington, the field includes Appalachian State, Kennesaw State, North Carolina A&T, Ohio, St. John's and William & Mary.

LAST TIME OUT

Asheville opened its spring season at the Babs Steffens Invitational in DeBary, Fla., finishing fourth in a 16-team field. The Bulldogs posted rounds of 308-307-300 (915), climbing the leaderboard with their strongest round of the tournament on the final day.

Caroline Patterson led the way with a tie for fifth at +8 (221), highlighted by a strong closing round. Breanna Hoese added a top-10 finish, placing tied for 10th at +11 (224). Lauren Madson recorded her best round of the event on the final day to finish tied for 20th, while Pennie Osterberg and Jordyn Arts rounded out the Asheville scoring effort.
