Golf Tees Off 2025-26 Season at Clemson

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – The UNC Asheville women's golf team begins the 2025-26 season on Monday (Aug. 25), as the Bulldogs travel to Clemson to compete in the Tiger Classic.

LAST SEASON RECAP
Asheville advanced to match play of the Big South Conference Championship for the second time in program history. The Bulldogs entered the championship tournament as the No. 2 seed, the highest conference ranking in program history.
Asheville returns Newcomer of the Year Caroline Patterson, who finished fifth at the conference championship to earn a spot on the All-Championship team. She led Asheville last season with a 73.06 stroke average (No. 2 in the league), had eight Top 10 finishes, and was the Medalist at The Velvet Classic with a 1-over 217.
The Bulldogs also return sophomores Jordyn Arts and Kate Bennett. Arts competed in 10 tournaments last season and had a stroke average of 80.5. Bennett competed in five tournaments with her best finish being at the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate, where she finished 15th out of 63 golfers with a 3-round score of 72-79-81.
NEWCOMERS
Asheville welcomes five newcomers to its 2025-26 roster. Pennie Osterberg, Limestone transfer, Sydney Craven, North Colorado transfer, Breanna Hoese, Longwood transfer, Lauren Madson, Kansas transfer and Carly Sherman, freshman from Bastrop, Tex.
